Black Eagle climb up on the title: 2-0

The second half goals from Matias Delgado and Filip Holosko gave Besiktas a 2-0 home victory and reached to the top of the Turkcell Super League. Both teams displayed a tentative game and could not managed to score any goal at the first half. Following an impressive start of second half, Besiktas went ahead Delgado’s 50th minute cross-shot ball from the left side. Referee awarded a penalty kick at 72nd but Matias Delgado targeted the ball to goalkeeper then upper post and missed the chance to double the score. Filip Holosko sent the ball came from Bobo's long range cross into the Konyaspor net 2 minutes later. Besiktas walked way to league title with that 2-0 win.

29.08.2008	Besiktas have been drawn against Metalist Kharkiv
	UEFA Cup first round draw conducted in Monaco. Besiktas will face Ukranian side Metalist Kharkiv in the first round of the UEFA Cup. Black and Whites will be at home for the first leg as they take on the Ukranian side. First leg to take place on 18 September at Istanbul Inonu Stadium, with the return leg down for 2 October at Ukraine.

Eagles eased into the 1st round with a 4-0 win over Siroki

Black eagles trounced NK Siroki Brijeg of Bosnia-Herzegovina 4-0 with goals from Ugur Inceman (14), Serdar Ozkan(49), Bobo (58) and Tello (86) in the UEFA Cup 2nd qualifying round 2nd leg in Istanbul. Besiktas, who had won the first leg 2-1, advanced to the first round of UEFA Cup 6-1 on aggregate. Ugur İnceman drew first blood with a clever move and shot at the first half. Another midfielder Serdar Ozkan took a brilliant pass from Bobo in the 49th and slid the ball into the visitor's net to make it 2-0. Da Silva Bobo scored Tello’s cross from the left flank and put the Black and White three up 10 minutes later. Rodrigo Tello’s sealed the game’s fate with a classy shot as the Eagles cruised to a 4-0 win.

Eagles flew to a 2-3 victory after falling 2-0 back

Two goals from Deivson Bobo saw Besiktas begin their Turkcell Super Lig campaign with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Antalyaspor. First half goals from Jaroslaw Bieniuk and Serge Djiehoua looked to have given Antalyaspor the points, but a late charge from Besiktas turned the result on its head. Matias Delgado pulled a goal back in the 79th minute and Da Silva Bobo equalised two minutes later. Bobo took the lead and grabbing the winner in the dying seconds for the Black Eagles.

Good start of Besiktas for the UEFA Cup: 1-2

Black eagles have made a good start to their UEFA Cup campaign in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Besiktas defeated NK Siroki Brijeg 2-1 in UEFA Cup 2nd qualifying round 1st leg in Mostar. Matias Delgado put the eagles ahead with a stylish header to Aydin Karabulut's cross in the 19th and Mert Nobre doubled the score in the 83rd minutes. Dalibor Šilic pulling one back for the home side in the dying moments of the game. Besiktas took advantage as they snatched two away goals.

Transfers of Besiktas Basketball Team for the 2008-09 Season

Besiktas Basketball Team has succeeded in signing American Mire Chatman, who played for the Russian Triumph Lyubertsy team last season, to a 2-year contract with a 1-year option. Chatman not only wore the jersey of the mighty Italian team Lottomatica Roma previously but also won the ULEP Cup with the Russian team Dynamo Moscow in 2006. Beşiktaş signed Serbian Center, Jovo Stanojevic to a 1-year contract. Besides wearing Polish team Prokoms’s jersey in Euro League last year, the Serbian Center also played for German Alba Berlin, Serbian Partizan, Maccabi Raanana and again Serbian Redstar. He averaged 10.3 points, 4,5 rebounds and 1,5 assists per game in his 35 games with the Polish club last season. Besiktas has added American Center Mario Trevon Austin to its roster for the upcoming season. Born in 1982, the 2.06 tall Mario Trevon weighs 118 kilos and has been transferred from the Italian team Benetton. The American, who could play both no. 4 and 5 positions, was with Israeli Jerusalem, Italian Angelico, American Mississippi HH and Russian CSKA previously. Besiktas signs U.S. player Marcus Faison. The club's web-site stated on Thursday that it signed a two-year contract with 1.95 meter Faison. Faison, born in 1978, played for Ukrainian BC Kiev team last season. He plays on forward position.

Black Eagles were drawn in the UEFA Cup second qualifying round against Sroki Brijeg of Bosnia

Draw for the Uefa Cup second qualifying round in Nyon paired Besiktas JK will play Bosnian side NK Široki Brijeg. Games will be played on 14 and 28 August. The 37 Uefa Cup first qualifying round winners were joined by 27 clubs entering the competition at this stage, including (for the last time) eleven progressing from the Intertoto Cup. The first round draw will be held on 29th August in Nyon, with the ties to be held over two legs on 18th September and 2nd October. In that draw, the 32 winners of the final qualifying round will be joined by 48 other clubs - including AC Milan and the 16 sides eliminated in the third qualifying round of the Champions League. The 40 first-round winners will then take part in the Uefa Cup group stage.

Transfers of Besiktas Football Team for the 2007/2008 Season

Black eagles has signed defenders Anthony Seric from Panathinaikos, Tomas Zapotocny from Udinese and Ayhan Tuna Üzümcü from Gençlerbirliği. The Eagles have also acquired midfielders Ekrem Hayyam Dağ from Gaziantepspor, Uğur İnceman from Vestel Manisaspor and Tomas Sivok from Udinese.

Farewell to CL by loosing against Porto

Black eagles had gone for victory to Porto but they lost 2-0 and could not claw themselves off the bottom of Group A. Opening of the game was tame, Besiktas created some promising attacks but could not convert them to significant positions. Porto started to set pressure at last minutes of the 1th half and Gonzalez got the ball rolling with a simple finish after some poor protesting for an offside decision by goalkeeper Rustu Recber left the Besiktas goal wide open at 44th minute. Besiktas took response and went close to equalizer with Serdar Ozkan and Edouard Cisse just after the break. Porto doubled the lead with Quaresma at 62nd minute and game ended with 2-0 score. Home side booked their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League as the winners of Group A with that result while Besiktas finished the group at the bottom.

Eagles trounced Manisa and qualified for next year’s UEFA Cup: 5-1

Black and White exploded out of the gates and scored 4 goals in just over 10 minutes. Nobre drew first blood with a clever header in the opening minute. Ibrahim Kas’s finish during a goal-line scrimmage put the Eagles two up 3 minutes later. Ali Tandogan took a brilliant pass from Delgado in the 7th and slid the ball past Manisaspor’s goalkeeper into the visitors net to make it 3-0 for Besiktas. Before Manisaspor got over the shock, Ibrahim Kas headed in his second goal off Delgado’s cross from the right flank to complete the scoring in the first half. Visitors pulled one back in the 83rd to trim the deficit to 4-1. Pilip Holosko sealed the game’s fate with an injury time goal, as the Black and White cruised to a 5-1 win. The Black and White finished regular season in the third place with 73 points and earned the right to representing the country in the UEFA cup next season.

	Besiktas Cola Turka Men’s Basketball Team claims a 102-96 victory over Bandırma City representative Banvit in Game 3 of its quarterfinal playoff series and advances to semifinals with a 3-1 series lead. Black Eagles set to face with Turk Telekom on semifinal. Because lost two matches on regular season over Turk Telekom, Besiktas starts the series 1-0 behind.

Besiktas claims a victory over Ankaragücü: 0-2

Eagle came back from the Capital with 3 points at Ankara 19 Mayis Stadium in Week 33 of TSL with goals from Delgado and Tello. Hosts turned in a fine display of attacking football in the early going, but our goalkeeper Rüstü Recber pulled off a number of clutch saves and kept them at bay. Despite a wet pitch which made it difficult to get the ball under control, the Black and White was awarded a penalty shot after Serdar Özkan was brought down inside the box during the injury time, and Delgado put his club 1-0 in front before the teams headed into the locker room at the half. Besiktas slowed the game down in the second half but maintained control rest of the way. A 77th minute Tello free-kick from the left flank found the back of the net after hitting the cross bar and keeper Serkan’s leg. Black Eagles cruised to 2-0 victory, raising their point tally to 70.

29.04.2008	Besiktas basketball team finishes the season at top
	Besiktas squeezed out a 95-91 victory over Casa TED Ankara Kolejliler to finish the regular season at top the table. At the end of a 30-week marathon, Besiktas Cola Turka finished its regular games in the Beko Basketball League at top the standings with 54 points. It aims to repeat this success in the playoffs and capture the championship title at the end of the season.

Eagle cruises to a victor over Bursaspor: 3-0

The match was played at Adana 5 Ocak Stadium due to Turkish Federation’s disciplinary sanction imposed on Besiktas JK. Thousands of Besiktas fans filled the stands and cheered their team on throughout the entire game at Adana. The Black and White made a blistering start into the game and jumped out to an early lead the 11th. Flip Holosko found unmarked Serdar Özkan inside box who drilled the ball into the left corner to make it 1-0 for Besiktas. A classy Holosko drive in the 33rd minute doubled the score, as the Eagles took a 2-0 lead going into the locker room at the half. Da Silva Bobo blasted a superb shot from the tight angle past goalkeeper in the 89th to seal the 3-0 victory.
